As I have told you all before, once upon a time I had great plans to open up my own cupcake shop. But happily I didn’t because the World of selling cupcakes is completely saturated with people much like myself that like to cook cakes, but can’t really do it very well.  One cupcake I love the look of but have never made myself is the Giant one, so join me as I try and find out just how good people can make these mini giants…

10 – Miss Piggy says “YES!”

As a kid I loved watching the Muppets and have very fond memories of them. So it will come as no surprise that this Kermit the from big top cupcake is in my top 10. Sadly no recipe or making guide in the image link but still a fantastic design and very well made.

9 – Good Guy Colossal

Good guy indeed, this rather tasty looking big top cupcake does nothing else but look tasty and simple to replicate, sadly for us non-skilled bakers there is once again no making guide or recipe in the image link, but you can in fact buy them!!!

8 – 1UP

The nerd in me had to include this cool Super Mario inspired 1up big top cupcake, but it clearly says in the image link that this was made via a packet mix! Which for me deserves an extra nod because it shows real creativity despite a low baking skill much like my own.

7 – Love is in the air!

What a simple but also rather delightful design this giant cupcake is. With it’s basic build underneath, but great use of love heart sweets and a chocolate door used to cover it I for one loved it. Sadly, once again there is no making guide or recipe in the image link.

6 – Don’t take the Mickey!

This Minnie Mouse big top cupcake brings an instant smile to the face, and while once again there is no making guide or recipe in the image like it looks amazing!

5 – Little Read Riding hoods Party Cake

This rather scary, but highly creative giant cupcake shaped like a wolf is not only a great idea, but it also is not that hard to replicate. Which is handy because once again there is no recipe or making guide in the image link. (why would you post these sort of cakes without a recipe of making guide?!? Pure madness)

4 – I find this Despicable!

Now this is what you call a touch of genius! This Minion big top cupcake inspired from the ’Despicable me’ film is a absolute winner. I would have placed it much, much higher in this list if it came with a recipe of making guide, but sadly it doesn’t.

3 – Ice Ice Baby!

While this is not the classic style cupcake we see in all the others in this list it is one that made my mouth water the split second I saw it! It is called a “Cookie Dough Bowl” but the shape, mould and style are all giant cupcake owed! And best of all it comes with a simple to follow recipe and step by step making guide. (why can’t they all do that!?!)

2 – A Giant Mars Cupcake a day helps you work, rest and play!

While the image link doesn’t have a recipe or making guide it is one of the most amazing cupcakes I have ever seen, and just the fact that it is a giant cake makes it all the better.

1 – The Chocolate Finger Master Piece

Nothing else even comes close to just how good this is, made with chocolate malt balls, and biscuit fingers (if only I had known about this during my post “Top 10 Cakes Made With Chocolate Fingers“) it  is not only mouth watering, but also a master class on how to make giant cupcakes. What was so impressive about this one is that unlike all the others in this list, the ice cream cone is in fact made from sponge! It is Easter time after all and while it may well be a religious celebration it is also about the day when the kids (and the kids inside us adults) get to eat our own body weight in chocolate. So it is time for those on a diet or own a “non drool proof” keyboard to stop reading this post and close the browser, but for the rest of us let the madness commence…

These amazing Cupcakes are just what I love. They are messy, not the best looking but you just know they will taste so amazing your whole family will be fighting over them! Here is a strange one for you, these cupcake don’t actually contain any Cadburys Creme Eggs, but are inspired by them! I decided to include them for a couple of reason, they are from a cool WordPress Blogger “Sweet Cherrie Pie“, they look amazing and in the (source) link it has a good guide and recipe. But also while they don’t contain any real creme eggs it would not exist without them, so for that reason it makes my top 10 list.

Oh my! While this one is much the same as number 6 the pink icing top makes it stand out just that bit better. Did you enjoy number 3?!? Well the other day after I had already wrote this blog post I decided to pay a visit to the shop that sells them! Did they have cupcakes? Oh yes!
